An Old Staple Place

Location:

Chinatown, on Dundas

Notes of Interest:

Never seen so much diversity in a Chinese restaurant

What we ordered:
  • Cantonese Fried Noodle – $18.50
  • Singapore Style Fried Turnip Cakes – $13.99
  • Vegetable Soup (Complementary) – $0.00

Total damage to wallet – $32.49 + tax + tip – 5% Cash Discount

Thoughts:

We always used to order takeout from this restaurant, pre Congee Queen existing downtown. The taste is pretty good, so we thought we would check it out in person. It’s definitely a food forward type of place, don’t expect fancy decor – but clearly it’s a loved local spot, it was full with a very diverse group of people. Not sure if we would return for in person, but still a fun adventure and satisfying meal, without a huge dent to our wallet!
