Thoughts:
Another breakfast spot! Simon found this from Google Maps so we walked there to try 🙂 A nice and small spot, with very minimal decor but surprisingly busy (on a holiday)! Very homey, family-owned, diner style kitchen where you can see the cooks working – Pretty sure we got our order taken from the owner, his mom was working cash and his daughter was poking her head out of the back asking about homework or whatever. Very excited when I saw they had latkes/hashbrowns just how I like them (same as White Spot style, my fave in Vancouver back in the day). Plates were stacked full of food! There were THREE benes when the standard is two, and the pancakes were also super large in size. Their fruit cups were nicely presented and filled with premium fruit (i.e. not melon). But the home fries were not super crispy and somewhat moist in the center. While it was friendly and lovely service, everything was a tad bit too salty and mono-seasoned (with salt) for our taste. We should actually probably go back for lunch because the handhelds (burgers) look huge. Great local place though, would visit more often if we lived closer by.
